Maya Exporter Pipeline Tool


I was asked by one of my programmers, Laura, to build a tool in maya that would make our exporting process easier for our level builder and our in-game model assets. This tool is written using Python script and the maya.cmds module.

The goal was to make sure all the models were consistent (in the correct orientations) for both sets of assets for use in two different game engines. And that we could easily checkout, upload and submit our models through perforce.

Credits: In the tool, I call .bat files (for our perforce needs) that were written by the very talented Laura Barton.
